Little House Company- one of the longest established sites for private advertisers. Clear, uncluttered layout. Search by location (including postcode), property type, price, minimum bedrooms, and wheelchair access.
Property Broker- a simple and uncluttered site that has been in existence for around 10 years. Quick and easy-to-use with a good range of property.
Houseladder- a well-established site although the amount of information and number of options can be confusing. Search by price, location, or number of bedrooms.
My Property for Sale- clear site with a good selection of property. Very easy to search by location but no other search options available.
Properties Direct- this site is worth visiting as it carries adverts from a number of other private advertising websites, thereby increasing the number of properties included.

Home swaps
These sites operate by matching properties registered with them to allow the owners to swap rather than sell the property on the open market.
